LOGO DESIGN

The idea for the logo design was to be like Mickey Mouse’s wizard hat. The special feature incorporated into the design was using the cogs to make the hat. These cogs represent the machine aspect of the business name (Development Machine). The cog hat has a playful almost animated feel to it because the client wanted it to reflect his own personality. To add more to the machine aspect I used Trajan font which is used for stone but also can be carved into metal.

BUSINESS CARD DESIGN

The client wanted the business cards design to have a mix of playfulness  and business feel to it. I created the playfulness by having the cogs transition from the foreground to the background. The business feel is the lack of negative space used in the business card. Even though the card is so small there is still a way to create negative space. The lack of explanation is key to the card design because I wanted people to feel a sense of what Development Machine actually does.
